Consumer prices fall in US
Columbus News.Net Wednesday 19th November, 2008
The economic decline in the US has continued to spiral with consumer prices falling one percent month-on-month in October.
The overall inflation index had remained flat through September after having its first decline in two years in August of 0.1 per cent.
The figures reflected the drop in energy, and especially, petrol prices, which were down more than 14 percent.
The inflation figure represents the largest one-month decrease since inflation figures started being published in 1947.
